This year’s TEACH conference features a powerful cohort of speakers who have been making headlines on the issues we care most about—civics education, voting rights, public education advocacy, equity, anti-racism and self-care for educators who have faced inconceivable challenges during the pandemic. The lineup includes Stacey Abrams, founder of Fair Fight Action and former Georgia gubernatorial candidate; Ibram X. Kendi, author of How to Be an Antiracist and Stamped from the Beginning; and Dena Simmons, founder of LiberatED, among others.

There’s nothing like wandering through the exposition hall of an AFT conference and finding new resources that will help you do your job. This year’s Virtual Expo will feature a variety of tools you can take back home and use in your school. You will discover AFT programs and partners by visiting our virtual booths and meeting with staff through appointments or virtual meetings. Just go to the Attendee Hub, click on the Virtual Expo tab and browse through the many helpful groups, from the AFT Action Center and the Campaign for Tobacco-Free Kids to First Book, Google and the Spencer Foundation.
Win prizes with the AFT #TEACH21 game
Play the AFT #TEACH 2021 game virtually throughout the conference for your chance to win awesome prizes. To play, visit the Game tab in the Attendee Hub. You can earn points by attending sessions and completing tasks, like taking action in the AFT Action Center, meeting with exhibitors and submitting feedback. Prizes—such as Apple AirPods Max, 3D printer, Oculus Quest 2 and classroom book sets— will be awarded to the top 10 scorers.
