Democracy Defender - Election Defense Orientation

This is an introductory orientation that prepares volunteers to protect voting rights, defend free and fair elections, and strengthen democracy. Participants will learn what’s at stake in the 2026 elections, explore opportunities to serve as poll workers or poll monitors, connect with coalition partners, and take action to support voters and help ensure every eligible voter can make their voice heard. Whether you're new to election protection or ready to get involved, this orientation is your first step toward becoming a Democracy Defender.

AVIRT: Lifesaving Bleeding Control

Severe bleeding can become fatal within minutes. Learn how to recognize life-threatening injuries and use lifesaving techniques—including direct pressure, tourniquets and wound packing—to help someone in an emergency. Participants will gain practical skills and learn more about the broader Active Violence Immediate Response Training (AVIRT) program.
