AFT Vice President
Tim Stoelb was elected president of the AFT-affiliated Oregon School Employees Association (OSEA) in 2012 and was re-elected in 2014. OSEA represents about 19,000 support workers in K-12 school districts throughout Oregon, as well as Head Start centers, several community colleges and private contractors that have contracts with the schools.
Stoelb worked for the Roseburg (Ore.) School District as a network support technician following 21 years of service in the U.S. Navy, where he attained the rank of chief petty officer. He joined OSEA in 2001 and has served as chapter treasurer, steward and chapter president.
In addition to his current duties as OSEA president, Stoelb serves as a member of the Oregon AFL-CIO executive council, liaison to the AFT-Oregon executive council, vice president of the American Association of Classified School Employees, and member of the AFT PSRP program and policy council.
