AFT Educational Foundation

The AFT Education Foundation (AFTEF) is a 501(c)(3) foundation that conducts, sponsors and disseminates study and research in education and related fields with the main objective of improving the education system and reinforcing the relationship that a strong educational system has in building and maintaining a strong democracy. A main project of the AFT EF has been the AFT Innovation Fund, which since 2009, has made more than 100 investments across the country to local union affiliates, with the purpose of identifying, nurturing and promoting union-led innovations in public education to improve teaching and learning and invest in the communities in which our members live and work.
