AFT Vice President

Fedrick C. Ingram is the vice president of the Florida Education Association. FEA represents more than 140,000 school employees in Florida’s public schools, colleges and universities.

Prior to becoming FEA vice president, Ingram was the first African-American elected president of United Teachers of Dade.

Pursuing his love of music, Ingram became a music teacher and band director, serving in the classroom for 10 years. His award-winning band programs were recognized statewide and nationally.

He received his bachelor’s degree in music education from Bethune-Cookman University and a master’s degree in educational leadership from Barry University. He also received an honorary doctorate of humane letters from Florida Memorial University.
