You say that big government should not be in our personal lives, yet your policies say that women should not have contraceptives. Your authorizing vaginal probes that doctors say is not needed. My question is why do republicans lie to Americans about how much SMALL government will impact their lives? At one time states did have more power and what a disaster that time was. Why do republicans want to take the country back to 1950?

Why don't you think women and children's needs are important? You would exempt women from some necessary health coverage. You would strangle public schools with minimum funding, or at least that is what is happening in my state.

Stop telling me you would do things differently. Stop telling me who is wrong. Stop self comparing. Just tell me specifically what you plan to do as our leader." Respect my intelligence and my independent vision of our needs to allow me to compare candidate plans to determine who best will lead my country. If you can not abide by this request, you will not have my support or vote. And now for my question, are you willing and able to do this and demonstrate behaviors showing you can accomplish this request?

Why is each and every member of the republican party against teachers? This seems true considering that republicans cut funding to education and are anti labor. Students and parents are becoming more aware that republicans are against the average person and are pro-war. What is your comment on these matters?

If you are a Federal Government employee, do you participate in the Federal one payer health care system? Does it work? Shouldn't all Americans have such a system as a human right, instead of being forced to go to overused expensive to run free emergency rooms?

I would ask about job creation. Its been proven that a president doesn't really create jobs for people. This needs to be studied more to understand how he or she can really influence job-creation.

Do you have cold hard facts/statistics that support the notion that reducing taxes creates secure jobs with benefits for employees here in the U.S.? This argument is constantly being used as a catch phrase by Republican pundits to push their no-tax doctrine, but there never seems to be any facts attached to it. If the Bush Tax cuts increased U.S. production and decent paying jobs (and I'm not referring to minimum-wage or low-pay jobs), where are the statistics to support this declaration?

The USA wants a World Class Education System without establishing a budget to support reaching that goal. Per pupil spending continues to decline while class size continues to grow. President Obama has not done much to ensure quality in education and Race to the Top falls far short in accomplishing that goal. The conversation is retorical blah, blah, blah....without establishing value to the educational realm. My question is what will the president do different in his next term for education, since the system has declined under his leadership?

I would like to find out, with specifics, exactly what their individual plans were to jumpstart the economy from their very first day in office. The current administration has gotten the country so used to meaningless rhetoric on the economy that we break out the party hats when the unemployment rate dips to 8.5%.

You in congress are exempt by law from many of the same laws that effect citizens of this country and yet you benefit from laws and programs that we do not have access. Are you willing to play by the same rules that govern our country as the average citizen?...have the same health care?...abide by the same tax laws?...invest in the same retirement restrictions?...knowing that this will off set, at least in part, some of our deficit? Are you willing to insure that members of congress who either retire or leave office wait 10 years prior to influencing congress through either lobbying or through political packs?... and if not why.

Many of the proposals for educational reform are directed at firing teachers, often in mid-career. Often the basis for firing would be a supervisor's evaluation. Will this force teachers to become sycophants? Will it make it very unlikely that teaching could be a real profession, or it would it be too risky, as teachers dismissed based on a supervisor's claim of incompetence could never find another job as a teacher? Would we then have almost no experienced teachers?

Why have you all been such "sore losers"since Barack Obama became President, and have blocked so much of what he's tried to do for our country, as well as letting your party members still malign him without due cause? (It started with that southern congressman shouting out "You lie" during President Obama's first address to the nation. Shame on you all for letting it continue!)

In Texas, as well as some other states, we have a WinFall Act that says if you are in education, you may only receive a percentage of your Social Security. I am vested, having contributed for 22 years to SS and now, only because I am an educator, I am being penalized and will not receive ALL the SS that I paid in. This is unfair and should be abolished. What plans, if any, do you have to address this situation?

It has been stated that the GOP would like to get rid of the cost of public education. I would like to know how they justify this when citizens have paid their taxes to ensure a free, appropriate education is provided to all children. As they are reducing benefits and pay for our public teachers they are, therefore, reducing professionalism. I compare it to having major surgery and having a nursing assistant perform it because it is cheaper. I would like an educated doctor please. I'm willing to pay extra for it providing you allow me to earn a decent living. The GOP is throwing away what has taken 100s of years to create in America.

What will you do to help unemployed teachers over the age of 50 get a job? We have families to support and few prospects for employment. Downsizing of our department has resulted in a push to eliminate senior teachers. It does not make sense to waste our valuable talents and experience.
