"Kids get lost in the crowds, disenfranchised and forgotten. They don't feel their health & education are priorities to the adults in the community. Teachers are overworked, sacrificing their prep times to add classes (to lower class sizes), and using personal resources for basic supplies. Administrators just seem to put in their time."

"SEVERE overcrowding. Not enough classrooms - kids meet in refurbished closets, temporary tin huts w/o heat or air conditioning - when it rains hard, water runs through them. Not enough chairs, desks, textbooks to go around in the classrooms they have. Kids sit on the floor, share books and can't take them home for study or homework. Enormous class sizes - often 35-40 students. Too many problems to even list."

"Main office ceiling leaks and often smells like sewer gas.  In several areas of the school the roof leaks.  When it rains there are buckets throughout the school.  In the cafeteria they have white trash bags paper clipped -- yes, paper clipped-- to the ceiling tiles.  The ceiling tiles are badly stained from water leaking in from the roof.  No ventilation where the main copy machine is.  The room is right beside the library.  The fumes from the machine are bad.  I won't allow my child to drink from the water fountains.  The water is often brown and warm.  I could go on ... "
