We are shocked by the horrendous terrorist act...We pray in sorrow for those killed. Russian teachers extend to the people of the United States, to education workers, to students, to their families, our deep condolences and support in this difficult moment. Our feelings of repulsion of terrorism and non-tolerance in any of its forms are as strong as yours. Please be sure that we are together with you in this dark day.

No amount of conflict or grievance warrants the destruction of lives and property as we have witnessed.... As we grapple with the consequences of the evil that has befallen world civilization, we implore the people and government of the United States to continue to safeguard civil liberties and freedom both for Americans and millions of foreigners who come to America.

--Hon. Nimi Walson-Jack
