Surfing the history channels

A Chronology of U.S. Historical Documents (www.law.ou.edu/hist) is a Web site of the University of Oklahoma's College of Law that provides a comprehensive list of documents relevant to the history of the United States and democracy. It begins with the Magna Carta (1215) and runs through 2001-present. The site includes links to original documents as well as several good Web site resources on specific topics.

Today in History (http://lcweb2.loc.gov/ammem/today/today.html) is a special Web site of the Library of Congress that provides a lively archive of events that have taken place on any day of the year. This is an excellent resource for teachers who want to point students to a specific topic, event or day. It's archived for an entire 365 days.
