THE EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

The three options available for paraprofessionals are:

  • Hold an Associate’s degree (or higher)
  • Have completed the equivalent of 2 years of study at an institution of higher education
  • Can demonstrate a rigorous standard of quality through an assessment of knowledge of and the ability to instruct in reading, writing and mathematics.

PLEASE NOTE: These are three options. You do not have to meet all three of them.
