AFT Healthcare Calls for Safe-Lifting Programs

AFT vice president Candice Owley leads off AFT Healthcare's March 23 press conference on the union's survey showing that injuries and pain caused by lifting patients is prompting more healthcare workers to consider quitting. Also speaking was Barbara Kelsey, a Milwaukee registered nurse, and Vinnie Fedor, an X-ray tech at a New Jersey hospital.
