What's Coming Up Tuesday at AFT's QuEST Conference

WASHINGTON – The American Federation of Teachers' QuEST (Quality Educational Standards in Teaching) conference concludes on Wednesday, July 14, with more than 2,000 educators attending.

The conference is taking place at the Marriott Wardman Park Hotel in Washington. The AFT Press Office is in the Jefferson Room.

Highlights for Tuesday, July 14

9 a.m.-10:30 a.m.
Dr. Linda Darling-Hammond, Stanford University
Topic: Teacher Quality

Immediately following morning session
AFT Push for Healthcare Reform: QuEST attendees will hold a rally in the Marriott Ballroom for comprehensive healthcare reform legislation. Later, over 100 AFT members will meet with their senators on Capitol Hill.

4 p.m.-5:30 p.m.
A Conversation about Community Schools
