Members of United Teachers of New Orleans
Can Locate Colleagues Through AFT Web site

WASHINGTON, D.C. — United Teachers of New Orleans members can now find current contact information about their colleagues on the American Federation of Teachers’ Web site, the AFT announced today.

The AFT Member-to-Member Locator site allows United Teachers of New Orleans members displaced because of Hurricane Katrina to provide their current contact information and to locate colleagues and friends who work for the New Orleans Public Schools.

 The Web site is:  www.aft.org/member2member/.

So far, more than 200 UTNO members have provided their current location, phone numbers and other contact information.

The AFT continues to operate its toll-free number for updated information on disaster relief assistance for displaced AFT school staff.  That number is 888/238-5646.
