Kansas Supreme Court School Funding Decision Is a Victory for Students

TOPEKA, Kansas—Statement by AFT Kansas President Lisa Ochs on the Kansas Supreme Court's unanimous decision today declaring that the level of state public school funding is inadequate and unconstitutional:

"The Kansas Supreme Court said the students of our state have been robbed of their right to equitable public education funding. The bottom line is that you can't expect educational excellence on the cheap. Our kids need schools that are adequately funded now, not more delays, excuses or political doublespeak."
