Ryan Budget Proposal Strips Rungs From the Ladder of Opportunity for Working Americans and Their Children
WASHINGTON—Statement of AFT President Randi Weingarten on Paul Ryan's budget proposal.
"Sadly, Paul Ryan's budget proposal is not a bad April Fools' joke. By slashing programs that help feed kids and support their educational and health needs, including access to college, it strips the rungs from the ladder of opportunity for working Americans and their children while rewarding corporations and the rich."
