Regularly updated information for members of the United Teachers of New Orleans, St. Tammany Federation of Teachers, Jefferson Federation of Teachers, and other AFT unions impacted by Hurricane Katrina. This hotline provides important contact numbers and Web sites as well up-to-date announcements on salary/benefits and job opportunities for displaced union members.

Louisiana Federation of Teachers
Several of the displaced AFT locals, including New Orleans, have set up temporary offices at the Louisiana Federation of Teachers headquarters in Baton Rouge. Call 800/634-5089 for information or to report your new location.

AFL-CIO
The AFL-CIO has established a toll-free number for Hurricane Katrina survivors and volunteers: 1-877-235-2469.
