AFT has been organizing and supporting graduate employees for more than 30 years and currently represents approximately 20,000 graduate employees in 18 locals nationwide. In addition, AFT has ongoing organizing campaigns at several other institutions. These AFT locals and campaigns form the Alliance of Graduate Employee Locals/AFT (AGEL/AFT).
