AFT Healthcare/AFT Public Employees
Joint Conference
Work that Matters
June 15-17, 2007

(AFT Public Employees pre-conference session June 14)

Union membership gives us the opportunity to bring about changes for the benefit of our members and the services they provide. Through the joint efforts of AFT's healthcare and public employee divisions, we can stand up for quality healthcare and quality public services, demand that politicians meet their obligations to a fair and just society, and see to it that our members have a real voice in the Work that Matters.

This joint conference is the fourth time that our two divisions have met together. Many of our AFT Public Employees members work in healthcare, and many of our AFT Healthcare members are public employees, and this time together allows us to share ideas and speakers while focusing on the issues that are important to our respective divisions.

Whether as healthcare professionals, or as professional employees in state and local government, we are engaged in Work that Matters, work that deserves political support and full funding. Proposals to privatize services and contract out the work of our members, as well as the overreliance on foreign-trained workers, must be prevented. These are fights that are best waged together. It is Work that Matters to our country.

Please join us at the Riviera Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas and use this conference as an opportunity to exchange ideas, build relationships and strengthen our union for the struggle ahead.

REGISTER ONLINE NOW! Select the Online Registration link in the right hand column. For hotel information, reservations and downloadable forms visit the conference hotel page.
