What's New With NCLB |
In late August 2007, the U.S. House of Representatives' Committee on Education and Labor released a reauthorization draft, known as the Miller-McKeon Discussion Draft, outlining possible changes to NCLB.
In recent congressional testimony, AFT executive vice president Antonia Cortese noted that AFT would be "very troubled if we thought the final bill was going to look a lot like this draft," adding that "more work needs to be done to fix the law's fundamental problems."
