AFT Vice President
Gray has been president of the Oklahoma City Federation of Classified Employees since 1988. His early career included a two-year tour of duty in Vietnam and leadership in the building and construction trades. He was the first African-American to join the International Brotherhood of Heat and Frost Insulators, Local 94.
He is also a leader in national organizations promoting civil and human rights. He is a former vice president for the Oklahoma City Chapter of the A. Philip Randolph Institute. He is chair of the Oklahoma State AFL-CIO Human Rights Committee and also serves on the AFT Human and Civil Rights Committee, the Constitutional Amendments Committee, the PSRP program and policy council, and chair of the AFT Annuity Trust.
Gray is currently working toward a degree in Labor Studies.
