Media Affairs Internships
Social media, blogs, mass email, web sites and other forms of communication have become critical to advancing AFT's agenda. With this new paradigm, demands on communications staff have increased. By working with Media Affairs and Digital Communications, the candidate will help meet that demand and expand the reach of AFT's message.
Intern responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Assist the Media Affairs and AFT Communications department in monitoring AFT's and its officers presence and public profile across various media and social media outlets.
- Assist in coordinating rapid response to online/social media conversations.
- Work with AFT members and allies to improve their social media presence and coordinate with the AFT and its officers.
Candidates will gain expertise in the strategic implementation of various online and offline communications tools and resources, as well as the coordination of members and allies to promote AFT's overall message.
This is a one-year, full-time internship position.
