RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Provide research, consultation, training and analysis for staff and members including:

School finance and related topics
-
Settlement reporting
-
Total package comparisons
-
Insurance data
-
Salary schedule comparisons
2. Provide statistical and data driven analysis of issues related to collective bargaining, school district funding, public and member polling, and other education related issues as assigned for purposes of establishing policy positions on the issues.
3. Develop and distribute analytical summaries of issues impacting negotiations.
4. Serve as a resource regarding compensation systems analysis and research.
5. Assist the lobbyists on legislative matters as needed.
6. Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Collective bargaining experience and familiarity with the collective bargaining practices of teachers as well as other public and private sector employees.
2. Experience and training in statistical analysis and data driven research resulting in position papers in the policy making arena.
3. Experienced PC platform computer user including word processing, spreadsheet, database, presentation graphics, email, LAN and Internet.
4. Creative thinker who anticipates and is committed to long term planning.
5. Settlement organizing experience including coalition building, communications, and community relations.
6. Successful training experience.
7. Bachelor’s degree.
DESIRED QUALIFICATION:
Formal training in industrial relations.
