Share Our Strength: No Kid Hungry
The AFT is proud to partner with Share Our Strength to shine a light on the problem of childhood hunger in our classrooms. We have provided this toolkit to help you assess, educate, and advocate in your school and community.
Accompanying the toolkit resources is "Hunger In Our Schools: Share Our Strength's Teachers Report" and one-page summary which includes data on the pervasiveness of hunger in our schools. As the report shows, breakfast is the most important meal of the day, yet so many children do not receive this critical start to their day.
Here are some resources to help you start or strengthen a breakfast program at your school.
